Implant dentistry

At The Dental Room we pride ourselves on staying ahead of the curve when it comes to dental technology. The world of dentistry moves quickly, and we make sure we are abreast of every advancement, so our clients can receive the best care.

Clients at our North Balwyn and Doncaster clinics can receive world class Implant Dentistry, right in their home town of Melbourne. Implant dentistry can include anything from dental implants, 3D scanning radiology, implant surgery and crown placement.

The world is now run digitally, and we keep up with the times. Our tooth implant system is state-of-the-art and computer-guided, allowing accurate placement of tooth implants through keyhole surgery in many cases.

We Use Computer Assisted Keyhole Surgery

We are specially trained in digital planning technology, using the future of dentistry to help guide us fix your future smile. We take your x-rays and transform them into a 3D printed guide. This is then locked into place in your mouth, to use as a location map for your new dental implants. We are big believers that failing to prepare means you are preparing to fail. The margin for error is reduced when we plan out the precise positions in advance.

This method offers relief to the soft tissue in your mouth as it requires a minimal amount of manipulation and interference during the surgery. Less shifting and movement of the delicate parts of your mouth means the healing time and discomfort felt after are dramatically reduced. Typically, dental implants are thought to have a long recovery time, so this is a major advantage.

We use this technology with most dental implants as well as with Fixed on Four or full arch solutions.

” When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.”

Denture stabilisation

An implant-supported denture is a type of over denture that is supported by and attached to tooth implants. A regular denture rests on the gums, and is not supported by implants.

An implant-supported denture is used when a person doesn’t have any teeth in the jaw, but has enough bone in the jaw to support implants. It features special attachments that snap onto the dental implants.

Dentures can make chewing, talking or smiling uncomfortable or difficult if they are not properly supported. Anchoring the dentures to the implants make them feel more comfortable and secure, meaning you can relax!

Fixed on Four or More Systems

This procedure is exactly how it sounds. Four or more (usually up to eight) implants are inserted into the jawbone, allowing a full arch of teeth to be attached to them.  Our advanced systems allow the arch and implants to be fitted at the same time. This means there’s no awkward interim period whilst you wait for your new teeth using temporary dentures, and no lengthy healing phase.

This treatment is classed as minimally invasive, as we use keyhole surgery, and a surgical stent. Our in-house radiology and laboratory service mean all decisions and conversations are happening under one roof, keeping us on the same page and providing consistent, quality care.
