How Much Do Invisible Braces Cost In Australia?

Invisible braces, such as Invisalign®, are an increasingly popular teeth straightening option for many people. They offer a discreet, safe, and more convenient way to straighten teeth that many people find attractive when considering their options. Today, we’ll take a closer look at how Invisalign is different from other orthodontic treatments, what its benefits are, and of course how much these ‘invisible’ braces cost in Australia.

What are invisible braces?

To really appreciate the growing popularity of invisible braces, we should first take a moment to recap how traditional braces straighten teeth.

Conventional braces work by fixing brackets to a person’s teeth, and then using wires to apply pressure to these brackets. This pressure will then push and pull the teeth into their desired position over time.

Invisible braces was a system pioneered by Invisalign® that uses clear plastic aligners instead of metal brackets and wire. These aligners apply gentle but constant pressure, gradually moving the teeth into the desired final position.

Why has Invisalign® become so popular?

Invisalign® braces have become popular with people the world over for two key reasons:

They’re almost invisible!

Firstly, Invisalign® braces are very discreet. Traditional braces, even ceramic tooth-coloured options, are fairly noticeable when a person talks, eats, or smiles. Invisalign®, being made out of clear plastic, is conversely less noticeable than most teeth straightening treatments.

This has made the technology particularly popular with those who are concerned about the appearance of wearing traditional braces. Since Invisalign® aligners are made of clear plastic, the aesthetic has become more acceptable as compared to wearing wire and brackets.

More convenient.

Secondly, Invisalign® can be taken out to eat and clean your teeth. This makes them substantially more convenient than other treatments. With traditional wire and bracket braces, there are special dietary considerations and cleaning protocols that need to be adhered to in order to maintain good oral hygiene. Using Invisalign®, a user can simply take the aligner out to eat, clean their teeth, and put the aligners back in.

There are other factors as well. Although all orthodontic appliances require some level of adjustment to get used to, Invisalign® is generally considered easier to adjust to. This is especially true when compared to traditional wire and bracket systems, that can sometimes cut or irritate the soft tissues in the mouth.

Of course, with all these notable advantages, the good news is that Invisalign® is also a very effective teeth straightening solution for many people.

Results may vary between individuals. Any dental procedure carries risks and benefits.

How much is Invisalign®?

The most common question we get asked about Invisalign® is, “how much does it cost?”

While we appreciate the desire to compare prices, it’s important to understand that no two treatments are the same. Some may require a more extensive treatment plan, while others may not. As you can appreciate, this then affects the length of treatment and as a result, the cost.

At The Dental Room, we offer a range of packages for our Invisalign® treatment. The main difference between each package has to do with the number of aligners your treatment will require to achieve the best results.

One of the features our clients like about our plans, is that all of our Invisalign® packages include an initial consultation as well as a 3D scan. During this appointment, we not only determine whether Invisalign® is the right treatment for you, but we will also show you, via 3D simulation, an accurate representation of how your teeth will look following your treatment and how long treatment would take.

So let’s take a look at how our Invisalign® prices compare.

Express Plan

This is for fast, efficient results where only relatively mild adjustments are needed. All plans also include Zoom! Teeth Whitening, valued at around $1,000, plus a set of Vivera Retainers for use after your treatment has finished. The total cost is $3,400AUD.

Lite Plan

For slightly more complex adjustments. The total cost is around $5,400AUD.

Moderate Plan

This plan is for cases which are more complex than those covered in the previous two plans. Total cost of $7,900AUD. This is the plan that most of our clients seem to fall into.

Comprehensive Plan

This plan is for the most complex of cases, and features all inclusions. The cost is from $8,900AUD+.

As we said, individual needs will require individualised treatment. At The Dental Room, we do not provide a ‘one-size-fits-all’ treatment approach. Each of our packages and plans are tailored to your specific needs. In saying that, prices may vary depending on your specific treatment requirements.

When comparing Invisalign® prices, it’s important to look beyond just the number. The success of your Invisalign® treatment is largely dependent on the skill and experience your dentist has with this treatment.

As you shop, you should not only consider the price, but also the experience of the provider, the quality of the entire dental team, their transparency, as well as all inclusions offered.

At The Dental Room, we pride ourselves in being transparent with our costs so you’re never hit with unexpected fees during the treatment. All our plans provide a set of Vivera Retainers to help ensure your teeth stay in place after treatment is complete.
