Our 5 step Invisalign® treatment journey
We firmly believe your experience and journey with us is just as important as the treatment itself. To find out what to expect, we’ve included The Dental Room’s streamlined Invisalign® process below.
1. Invisalign Consultation
This is the start of a very exciting part of your Invisalign® journey! To kick things off we’ll begin by discussing your needs and options in a smile consultation.
2. Invisalign records and Clincheck 3D discussion
During this appointment, a 3D smile scan is taken and is used to map out a 3D custom simulation called Clincheck. This is when you’ll get to see an accurate preview of your teeth moving from the moment you start wearing Invisalign®, to the day you remove them. Your feedback will be invaluable as we work closely with you to make unlimited changes to the smile design prior to formalising the plan. A formal quotation of the treatment will be provided right after the appointment.
3. Fitting your first clear aligners
This will be your first fitting appointment where you’ll receive your first few sets of aligners. While you’re here, we’ll make sure that your aligners fit perfectly on you and your teeth. All the information you need to look after your aligners will be provided. You’ll need to wear each aligner for one to two weeks as prescribed.
For your convenience, three sets of aligners will be dispensed to you at each appointment to reduce your number of visits. Most clients typically visit us once a month and each appointment goes on for approximately 10 minutes. Afterall, the less visits, the more time to enjoy life!
4. Monthly appointments
With any treatment at The Dental Room, you are never alone. Our monthly appointments are designed to give you the support you need and to keep track of the progress of your treatment. During this time we’ll also provide you with the next series of aligners, and address any concerns you may have.
5. Teeth whitening
Once the teeth are in the perfect position, many of our packages include a complimentary teeth whitening treatment to brighten your smile. A retainer will also be made to help maintain the positions of your teeth. And then you’re free to go and share your smile with the world!

No, Invisalign® treatment is not exclusively provided by orthodontists. It’s important to note that both orthodontists and dentists must undertake the same specific training provided by Invisalign to become an accredited provider.
The outcomes and efficiency of the treatment is highly dependent on the operator driving the Invisalign treatment. Therefore, it is critical that you entrust your smile to the right dentist. So before you decide, it’s always best to do your research to find an accredited provider who is known for their experience in providing expert Invisalign® treatment. Looking at their clients’ reviews and ‘before and after’ images would give you an indication to how experienced the practice is in providing Invisalign treatments.

At The Dental Room, there are 4 types of Invisalign® packages on offer to cater for the varied needs of our clients. These packages are largely based upon the amount of teeth movement required and how many aligners are required to achieve these movements.
Express: Invisalign® Express is designed for very minor corrections that may be achieved using seven consecutive aligner changes or less. This package may be used in cases where a patient has previously had orthodontic treatment and experienced a very slight relapse.
Lite: Invisalign® Lite is commonly used for patients who have had a slight relapse in their previous orthodontic treatment or who have very small modifications they wish to make to the alignment of their teeth. Invisalign® Lite allows up to 14 aligner changes.
Moderate: Invisalign® Moderate is commonly used to treat patients with crowding or spacing and slight rotations. The moderate packages allow up to 26 aligner changes. It is designed for our clients whose treatment goals fall between the existing Invisalign Lite and Invisalign Comprehensive Packages and can be completed in the range of 5 to 12 months.
Comprehensive: Invisalign® Comprehensive is designed for those who require greater tooth movements. These cases generally take more time and often include crowding, spacing and significant rotations of the teeth.

Better oral health. Since Invisalign aligners are removable, you can still floss and brush your teeth as per normal which reduces plaque accumulation, risk of gingivitis and bad breath.

We are not able to provide you with a set time as it will depend on your specific needs. An approximate treatment time can be provided to you after your initial appointment with us.
