Unlike most practices, we have our own in-house ceramic lab and master ceramist Ms Chloe Park, who works closely with Dr Shawn to deliver world-class veneers – from the very initial appointment to the final smile reveal to give you the most desired results.

Porcelain veneers at The Dental Room offer the highest aesthetic, long-term solution, compared to other methods. Chloe, our master in-house ceramist makes each and every veneer by hand, which includes painting up to ten different shades of white on each tooth to achieve a lustrous, realistic depth – this allows us to mimic natural teeth.

What can you expect?

Step 1. Virtual Smile Consultation

An initial virtual smile consultation is often desirable for interstate and international clients of course, as it can be done without stepping foot out your door. During the consultation, you will get the opportunity to discuss any concerns that you have, as well as your expectations on your smile makeover. Based on the conversations and photos you would have shared prior to this, Dr Shawn will provide you with everything you need – including the treatment time frame, cost, all procedural details and case examples for you to make the best informed decision.

Step 2. Pack Your Bags For Melbourne!

You’ll only need a week all up, but there’s plenty of time around your appointments for sightseeing, so why not make it a holiday? That way you have value for your money, make lasting memories, and leave at the end of the week with a smile that suits you. Sounds pretty great, doesn’t it?!

But let’s face it, we are living in uncertain times with snap lockdowns and border closures. And we all know how frustrating this can be! No fear – we closely follow all Government advice, as well as keeping across the ever-changing beast that is COVID, and what that means for our Interstate and International clients. If you can’t get to Melbourne when the time comes for any reason, we’ll work closely with you to reschedule, and will do everything we can to meet your needs – it’s all part of our service.

Step 3. Veneers Preparation

The porcelain veneer process is feedback-driven over a series of appointments to allow for your input along the way.

We recommend you to arrive one day prior to your veneers preparation appointment to settle in. Then, you’ll spend half a day with the awesome team at The Dental Room, in which temporary veneers will be fitted, so you can test drive your new and improved smile for the next two days and provide feedback for Dr Shawn and the team before the final fitting.

Step 4. Feedback Time!

It’s recommended that you visit The Dental Room two days after your temporary veneers have been fitted, to provide feedback on the look and feel of your new smile. At this stage adjustments can be made to the temporary veneers, and Ms Chloe Park takes notes to ensure the final veneers include these changes also.

Step 5. Veneers Bonding

The final stage of the veneers process is an exciting one: a half-day appointment where you’ll leave with your new smile. Your temporary veneers will be removed, and porcelain veneers checked for their fit.

With a ceramist onsite, it allows for any final modifications to be made onsite before your veneers are permanently bonded. For your comfort, the bonding is performed under local anaesthetic and is painless. You’ll be itching to show off your veneers to friends and family back home!
