Cosmetic dentistry should aim to look natural and seamless. Our team, led by Dr Shawn Rama, works closely with our in-house ceramic lab, Luminous Dental Lab, and master ceramist Ms Chloe Park. Each veneer is designed and handcrafted, often with multiple layers to replicate the colour, depth, and translucency of natural teeth.
Having an in-house ceramist allows us to manage the entire process under one roof, maintaining precision, continuity of care, and oversight at each stage, from your initial consultation to the final placement of veneers.
Step 1. Virtual Smile Consultation
Many interstate and international clients choose a virtual smile consultation, which can be completed from the comfort of your home. During this consultation, you can discuss your concerns and goals for a smile makeover. Based on your photos and the discussion, Dr Shawn will provide details about the treatment options, expected time frames, potential costs, and procedural information to help you make an informed decision.
Step 2. Pack Your Bags For Melbourne!
Once your consultation is complete, you can plan your visit around your scheduled appointments. If travel plans change, our team will work with you to adjust your schedule as needed. Our aim is to make your visit as straightforward and organised as possible.
Step 3. Veneers Preparation
The porcelain veneer process involves multiple appointments to allow for assessment and adjustments. We recommend arriving a day prior to your preparation appointment. During the first session, temporary veneers are fitted. You’ll have a short period to evaluate their fit and appearance before providing feedback to Dr Shawn and the team.

Step 4. Feedback Time!
A follow-up visit, usually two days after the temporary veneers are fitted, allows you to provide feedback on the look and feel. Adjustments can be made to the temporary veneers, and notes are taken to guide the fabrication of the final veneers.
Step 5. Veneers Bonding
The final appointment involves fitting the permanent porcelain veneers. Temporary veneers are removed, and the new veneers are checked for fit and alignment. Any minor adjustments can be made on-site with the ceramist present. Bonding is performed under local anaesthetic for comfort.
