Dr Shawn Rama is the Principal Dentist and Founder of The Dental Room with 20 years’ experience in his field. He is also a member of the Australian Dental Association. Dr Shawn earned his Bachelor of Dental Science (BDsc) in 2003 from the University of Melbourne and has steadily raised his profile as one of Australia’s elite dentists in the field of Aesthetic dentistry.
Since graduating, he has completed a number of post-graduate courses and educational programmes, both in Australia and overseas, furthering his knowledge and experience in the fields of cosmetic dentistry, complex restorative dentistry and dental implants. Dr. Shawn began developing new premises to fulfil his dream of providing a unique dental experience for clients in 2014. In 2016, his vision was realised with the opening of The Dental Room in Balwyn North. A practice providing clients with outstanding quality in both general and cosmetic dentistry in a unique environment, with a mission to change the stereotypes associated with dentistry by creating a space for clients outside the usual clinical experience.

A big believer in ongoing training, Dr. Shawn endeavours to study as often as possible. He has completed further training in implantology, enabling him to complete implant surgery, as well as studies in TMJ-related issues. Recently, Dr. Shawn has completed training at AADFA International – the world’s most comprehensive Botox, dermal filler, and skin rejuvenation training for dentists. Dr. Shawn is also an accredited Platinum Invisalign® practitioner. When he’s not at work, Dr. Shawn enjoys travelling, snowboarding, yoga and keeping fit at the gym.
